Precision Technology Meets Nordic High Standards, Successful Sample Testing Deepens Cooperation Prospects
This week, a delegation from a renowned Finnish client specially visited our production base for an in-depth on-site inspection and evaluation of their customized visual particle counting machine production line project. The visit focused on the core project proposal, technical challenges, requirement alignment, and the crucial sample testing and verification phase. The process was rigorous and yielded fruitful results, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation between the two parties.
Project Introduction: An Intelligent Particle Counting Solution for the High-End Market
The visual particle counting production line project, which attracted the Finnish client's attention, is a flagship automated system developed by our company to meet the demands of the international high-end market (especially the pharmaceutical, health products, and precision electronic components industries) for high-speed, high-precision counting and packaging. This production line integrates cutting-edge machine vision recognition technology, high-speed robotic arm collaboration, and an intelligent data management system. It aims to achieve non-destructive, rapid, and accurate counting and packaging of particles of various shapes and sizes, significantly enhancing production efficiency and quality control.
Project Challenges & Technical Requirements: Balancing Precision and Speed at the Limit
During initial discussions, the client presented highly challenging technical requirements: achieving ultra-high-speed processing of over 3000 particles per minute while ensuring counting accuracy above 99.99%. The system also needed to handle various special materials provided by the client, including highly reflective or irregularly shaped sample particles. Furthermore, the production line required seamless integration into the client's existing automated warehousing system, imposing near-stringent standards for equipment stability, compatibility, and long-term operational reliability. Environmental adaptability and compliance with EU CE safety certification were also fundamental prerequisites.
Client Needs & Our Alignment: A Tailored Technical Response
Through multiple rounds of technical communication, our project team gained a deep understanding of the client's core demands: they were not merely purchasing equipment but seeking a strategic partner capable of enhancing their end-product competitiveness and ensuring absolute production reliability. Our presented solution perfectly matched their needs:
Core Vision System: Utilizes a combination of multi-spectral composite lighting and high-resolution industrial cameras, paired with our proprietary deep learning image processing algorithms, effectively overcoming traditional challenges such as particle adhesion, overlap, and glare, enabling precise identification of their complex samples.
High-Speed Actuation Mechanism: Custom-designed vibration feeding and dispensing modules, combined with dynamic path planning, meet the client's required speed peak while ensuring gentle particle handling.
System Integration & Data Interface: Open industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA) and flexible software interfaces ensure efficient data exchange between our equipment and the client's MES/ERP systems.
Compliance & Quality Control: The entire process design follows cGMP principles, supported by complete validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ). Material selection complies with relevant EU regulations.
Sample Testing Process: Demonstrating Capability, Earning Trust
The core of the inspection was the on-site sample testing. The client personally brought several highly representative particle samples for testing, including micro-tablets, irregular herbal slices, and highly reflective capsules.
Preparation & Parameter Setup: Our engineers quickly adjusted the vision system's lighting scheme and recognition parameters based on the sample characteristics. The client observed the entire process and praised the system's ease of adjustment.
Continuous Operation Test: The production line started and ran continuously at the set high speed. A high-definition display showed real-time captured frames, identification results, and counting data. Client representatives closely observed the entire process: feeding, imaging, counting, and dispensing.
Accuracy Verification: Multiple randomly selected batches of dispensed finished products were jointly rechecked manually by personnel from both sides. Results showed the counting error rate was far below the contractually agreed standard, consistently achieving 99.995% accuracy.
Stress & Compatibility Tests: At the client's request, rapid switching tests between different samples and simulated long-term stability tests were conducted. The equipment's rapid adaptation capability and consistently stable performance impressed the client.
Data Review & Exchange: After testing, both parties reviewed the complete process data report automatically generated by the system, including counting statistics, error analysis, and equipment status logs. Our engineers provided professional interpretations of the data details and answered various in-depth questions from the client's technical team.
Client Feedback & Future Outlook
Following the testing, the head of the Finnish client delegation stated: "This on-site visit exceeded our expectations. We saw not just a powerful machine, but a team that understands our pain points and can provide precise solutions. The success of the sample testing, especially the excellent performance with our challenging materials, gives us great confidence. This fully aligns with our pursuit of quality, precision, and reliability."
Both parties engaged in constructive discussions regarding subsequent project delivery schedules, technical training, long-term service support, and preliminarily explored possibilities for future cooperation on a broader range of product lines.
The successful visit and verification by the Finnish client not only signify that our visual particle counting technology has gained recognition in the international high-end market but also demonstrate our comprehensive strength as a customer-centric, technology-driven company capable of undertaking complex international projects. We look forward to advancing hand-in-hand with our Finnish client, helping them achieve new levels of production efficiency and quality management.
